Harmonie Municipale de Mondercange
ℹ Mehr zur Band

Founded in 1903, the 'Monnerecher Musek' has grown from modest beginnings to become a dynamic and forward-looking wind orchestra. After facing decades of challenges in finding a suitable rehearsal space, the members started building their own music hall in 1961 — a major milestone in the group's history. The 1990s saw a revival thanks to strong youth engagement, resulting in the formation of the 'Monnerecher Jongbléiser' in 1995 and the 'Monnerecher Minibléiser' in 2006. In the same year, the orchestra officially became the 'Harmonie Municipale de Mondercange' (HMM). Since 2012, under the baton of conductor Sebastian Geis, the HMM has returned to national and international competitions. Highlights include winning first prize with distinction at the 2016 UGDA contest and receiving a 'Gold Award' at the 2019 'World Orchestra Festival' in Vienna, where the band became the first Luxembourgish wind orchestra to perform in the 'Golden Hall' of the 'Musikverein'. In 2025, the HMM competed in the first category of the prestigious 'Flicorno d'Oro' competition in Italy, earning an impressive 86.35 points. The orchestra is now setting its sights on its next major challenge in 2026: the renowned 'Wereld Muziek Concours' in Kerkrade. Dirigent | Sebastian Geis

Societat Musical Barri de Malilla
ℹ Mehr zur Band

The Band of the Societat Musical Barri de Malilla was established in 1989, concurrently with the founding of the musical society itself, as a result of the initiative of a group of local residents who aspired to create a music society for the Malilla neighbourhood. It was founded under the direction of maestro Daniel Belloví Navarro, and offered its inaugural concert in 1993 with a small ensemble of musicians who would later form the basis of the current band. In 2019, maestro Borja Martínez Alegre was appointed as the conductor of the Band. Throughout its history, the Band of the Societat Musical Barri de Malilla has participated on numerous occasions in the Valencia Provincial Band Contest (2001, 2002, 2005, 2007, and 2017), the 'Castell de Benisanó' Band Contest (2008), and has performed in various regions of Spain as well as in Germany (2006). In February 2025, the Band was awarded first prize at the inaugural "Entrada de Bandas Ciudad de València" Contest. Dirigent | Borja Martínez-Alegre

Union Musicale des Cheminots d'Arras
ℹ Mehr zur Band

Our wind band, the "Union Musicale des Cheminots d’Arras", was founded in 1923. Today, we are about fifty amateur musicians who meet every Wednesday under the direction of Jean-Pierre Lorieux. The diversity of ages, professional activities, and academic backgrounds of its members contributes to a richness based on respect and friendship. Passionate and voluntary, they transmit their passion for music to the public and to those who join the orchestra. This collective work, demanding but exciting, has allowed the orchestra to overcome important steps, both musically and in terms of human cohesion. One of the highlights of our recent journey is undoubtedly obtaining, in June 2024, a first prize with honors in a national competition - a recognition of the in-depth work carried out year after year. To mark the orchestra's 100th anniversary, we decided to commission an original work from composer Thierry Deleruyelle. This project illustrates our commitment to bringing musical creation to life and anchoring our work in the present and the future. If you ever happen to be passing through Arras, welcome to join us ! Dirigent | Jean-Pierre Lorieux

Vlaams JeugdHarmonie Orkest
ℹ Mehr zur Band

Vlaams JeugdHarmonie Orkest (or translated Flemish Youth Wind Orchestra) is an orchestra that was founded to give young musicians from the greater Leuven area the opportunity to make music with their peers in an umbrella orchestra. By now, our orchestra has more than 60 enthusiastic musicians who come together weekly to make music. We have the ambition to bring music and culture to a broader audience with an original twist. We lift ourselves and each other to a higher level under our three core values: youth, quality and originality. We promote these values by working out a new and original project every year that is always received with great enthusiasm, both by our musicians and the audience. In addition, we challenge ourselves with some more serious works during our annual concerts. And last, but not least, we complement our schedule with memorable concert tours and competitions at the highest level, at home and abroad Dirigent | Koen Maes
